Ian Alan Dick – Guitar
Ian is the founder member of Soldier, forming the band in 1979.
He started taking classical guitar lessons at 14 but soon became bored with that and set his mind to playing rock and metal.
Along with playing with Soldier, Ian has recorded three studio solo albums under the name “Fret” using local musicians including Declan Burke ex Frost/Darwins radio.
Ian cites some of his guitar playing influences as Andy Turner (Wishbone Ash), Pat Travers and Rory Gallagher.
MIles Goodman – Guitar
Miles joined Soldier in Feb 2011 and started learning the guitar in 1986 at the age of 12.
Miles still plays occasionally with Black rose and also played with Untamed for eight years, playing on their Natures Messiah and Insanity Bound albums.
From 2007 till the present day Miles also plays with Still Remains , recording War Of Ages and Lead The Blind with them.
Miles cites AC/DC, Iron Maiden and Thin Lizzy as bands that have influenced him.
Richard Frost – Vocals
Richard joined Soldier in 2012 and although Richard started playing drums at 13 years old he took up singing in the early 1990’s.
Richard has been involved in local bands such as Falcon and Strida and also Los Angeles band The Screamin’ Lords.
Some of Richards influences include Deep Purple, Night Ranger and Motorhead.
Tim Churchman - Drums
Soldier are pleased to welcome Tim Churchman into the band.
Tim’s impressive cv includes playing drums with Shadowkeep, Ark, IQ, Tony Mills (Shy/TNT), Dec Burke (Frost), Darwins radio & Spirit Of Rush.
Steve Barlow – Bass Guitar
Steve joined Ian in Soldier in early 1980, and like Ian, Soldier remains the only band he has ever played in.
Now back playing live with the band, Steve is looking forward to playing songs from Dogs of War and Defiant as in his opinion these include some of the best work the band has recorded.
Steve's main influences are Lemmy, Geddy Lee, Geezer Butler and Roger Glover.
